Spring Grove football on Friday shut down Muhlenberg 35-0 and moved on to play No. 1 New Oxford in the Division 3-5A quarterfinals.
The Rockets led the Mules 31-0 at halftime. Spring Grove was in front 28-0 before the break with 4:40 left on the clock following a Jordan Eisenhart 26-yard slant route for the score. Brody Redding scored with 9:59 left in the second quarter on an 18-yard run to make it 21-0 Rockets.
Kade Gibbs and Dais Baum got Spring Grove on the board respectively. The Rockets capitalized on a 7-yard rush from Gibbs to go up 7-0 before Baum tacked on a 12-yard score with 45 seconds left in the first.
Baum also logged a touchdown pass and passed for 121 yards on just five complete passes. Redding in the backfield ran for 122 yards while Gibbs finished with 100 rushing yar
