NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — LCMC Health reached a verbal agreement with UnitedHealthcare on Oct. 31, according to LCMC Health officials.

Just a few hours before open enrollment for health insurance begins on Nov. 1, this agreement between LCMC Health and UnitedHealthcare ensures that patients under UnitedHealthcare coverage do not have to pay more at LCMC facilities.

"LCMC Health is pleased to share that we have reached a verbal agreement with UnitedHealthcare that maintains our in-network status," LCMC Health said in a statement.

"As a result, your access to the LCMC Health facilities and providers you know, and trust will not be disrupted. We have extended our contract to ensure you may continue seeking care at LCMC Health as you normally would."
