CANTON, Ga. — A Cherokee County man was convicted Thursday on all charges in a series of child sexual abuse offenses following a four-day trial in Canton.

Chandler Reid Cantrell, 25, was found guilty of 12 charges, including rape, incest, aggravated child molestation, and child molestation involving two children.

According to court records and the district attorney's office, the case began in August 2021 after a woman reported to the Cherokee Sheriff's Office that Cantrell had abused her children.

Investigators arranged separate interviews with the children, during which they detailed repeated assaults that started when they were under the age of 10 and continued for several years. One child recalled the abuse beginning while in kindergarten.
