LINCOLN -- The five seed Maranacook Black Bears punched their ticket to the Class D North semi-final round by way of a second half comeback over the four seed Mattanawcook Lynx on Friday night.
In the first quarter, the Lynx took over just inside enemy territory. They opted to hand it off to their trusty running back Kooper McCarthy who broke through the Black Bears line and went 41-yards all the way to the endzone to put the Lynx up 6-0.
Now in the second quarter, the Black Bears utilized the rushing attack as well, running a reverse sweep with Ethan Chilton who looks to be stopped by a Lynx defender, but he breaks free and reverses again, gaining almost 40-yards on the play.
