YOUNGSTOWN Several new inductees were honored on Friday during the 25th Anniversary Sports Hall of Fame Banquet in Youngstown.
The banquet, hosted by Ebony Lifeline Support Group, aimed to honor both athletes and community leaders who the group says have made "outstanding contributions to the Valley."
The Ebony Lifeline Support Group began in 1996, aiming to be an alternative to help those struggling with addictions who did not find success in self-help groups, such as Alcoholics Anonymous.
Robert Thomas, Co-Founder of Ebony Lifeline Support Group, spoke to 21 News during the event on why the group continues to hold the banquet yearly.
