BOISE, Idaho — Two Ada County deputies who fatally shot a man who police said pulled out a gun on them during an investigation in 2024 were justified.
Twin Falls Prosecuting Attorney Grant Loebs released a memo stating that Detective Cory Feldman and Deputy Daniel Stradling were justified in the Oct. 15, 2024 , fatal shooting of 43-year-old Lucas Alleman of Star at the Optimist Youth Sports Complex in Boise.
According to an Ada County Sheriff's Office news release, deputies had been searching for Alleman as he was the suspect involved in a felony sex crime case with a minor. Police said he had a warrant for charges of lewd conduct with a minor, rape, forcible penetration, and sexual battery.
Alleman had also made suicidal statements, the sheriff's office stated.
