We’ve got great weather, tourist attractions like the Grand Canyon and sporting events like the Superbowl that draw traffickers to the area, she said.

And Scottsdale is no exception to the rule with events like the Barrett-Jackson car show and the WM Phoenix Open golf tournament, Scottsdale Police Chief Joe LeDuc said.

In fact, around 11 million visitors come to Scottsdale every year for various reasons, LeDuc said.

All that equates to the Scottsdale Police Department’s Human Trafficking Unit making around 340 arrests a year, he said.
