Puig was traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2018 to the Cincinnati Reds , then to Cleveland. His chance to sign with the Atlanta Braves in 2020 was foiled by a positive COVID test . Since then, he's played in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Korea, and Venezuela.
