VANCEBORO, N.C. (WITN) - As the search for 24-year-old Dominic Connelly continues for the third night, those celebrating Halloween in Vanceboro say the situation is like something out of a horror film.
“There’s a real life Michael Myers that is in this place,” trick-or-treater Rachel Larsen said.
According to Craven County’s Sheriff’s Office, Connelly who is wanted for killing his 72-year-old grandmother in Havelock on Saturday and stabbing a deputy on Wednesday in Vanceboro, was spotted on a trail camera in the area of U.S. Highway 17 in Vanceboro.
The sheriff’s office has released new images of Connelly who was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt and camo style pants.
Connelly was not located, but they moved the search into Beaufort County on CC Road after a possible sighting
