CLEVELAND — If you've lived in Northeast Ohio long enough, you know Halloween can bring just about anything. There have been Halloween nights mild enough for T-shirts and shorts to frigid conditions that warranted snow boots.

According to the National Weather Service records, Oct. 31 has a wild weather history across the region. Cleveland's warmest Halloween hit a balmy 82 degrees Fahrenheit back in 1950; that same year, Akron - Canton reached 79 and Mansfield topped out at 78.

Fast-forward to 1988, and you've got the other extreme record lows dipping into the teens and 20s for most cities. Cleveland hit an all-time Halloween low of 19 degrees that year.

On average, Halloween usually brings jacket weather: Average highs are in the upper 50s, and lows hover near 40 degrees.
