Friday night update: It’s going to be a cold one out there tonight, and not just from the ghosts and goblins! As high pressure builds in from the west, skies will stay clear and winds will be calm. This is a perfect recipe for temperatures to drop quickly. Overnight lows will tumble into the mid to upper 30s, especially along and north of I-20, and even a bit lower in rural areas. That’s where patchy frost will be most likely by daybreak Saturday morning.
A Frost Advisory has been issued for central and northern parts of the CSRA from 2 AM to 9 AM Saturday. This includes Augusta and Aiken. That means if you’ve still got any sensitive plants outside, tonight’s the night to bring them in or cover them up.
Saturday will be a picture-perfect fall day once the morning chill wears off. Expect
