People in New York city put on their wackiest costumes and made their way to the 52nd annual Village Halloween Parade on Friday night.
Marching bands could be heard echoing throughout the city as they made their way down the boulevards, while bystanders of all ages pulled out their phones to record the parade.
New Yorker Jocelin Williams says the parade perfectly describes the city.
"There's nothing like New York City Halloween," she said.
The parade, which started at the corner of Canal Street and 6th Avenue, ended on 15th Street.
