MILTON-FREEWATER, Ore. – The city of Milton-Freewater is actively searching for an interim city manager following the firing of the previous manager on October 13.
Currently, Mayor Mike Odman is temporarily filling the role. Odman has put forward Tim Johnson as his choice for the interim position. If approved, Johnson would serve for six months.
However, no agreement has been reached between the city and Johnson. Johnson has expressed the need to consult with his legal team before making a commitment.
Until an agreement is finalized, Mayor Odman will continue acting as city manager. The city will then proceed with the necessary steps to officially appoint Johnson to the position.
