PORTLAND, Ore. — A 13-year-old boy has been hospitalized after being hit by a car in Portland, Portland police confirmed to KGW.
On Friday evening, the boy, who was wearing a Halloween costume, was hit at Southeast Hawthrone Boulevard and Southeast 22nd Avenue, police said. His family was there and went to the hospital with him.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police, and there was no indication of intoxication. The driver, who was not identified beyond being a man from Portland, was released, and there were no arrests or citations made, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
Police said Saturday that the driver had been going eastbound on Southeast Hawthrone Boulevard in the right lane when he hit the teenager, who had been crossing north from the southbound side
