GREEN BAY — Whatever the Halloween equivalent of being a bah-humbug is, Matt LaFleur is apparently it.
The Green Bay Packers coach was talking Friday about the team’s annual costume Halloween — or his lack of interest in it.
Earlier in the day, he had been talking with his chief of staff, Darryl Franklin, about the holiday — as the Packers (5-1-1) were finishing their final preparations for Sunday’s matchup with the Carolina Panthers (4-4) at Lambeau Field — and when the subject came up during his pre-practice Q&A session with reporters, LaFleur let his feelings be known.
“I was like, ‘I don’t give a [expletive] if it’s Halloween, all right?” LaFleur told reporters. “We’re trying to win a game — period.”
