CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Monsters rallied to defeat the Milwaukee Admirals 4-3 in overtime Friday night at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, with Jack Williams delivering the game-winning goal.
Williams scored the decisive tally 2:15 into overtime, assisted by Will Butcher and James Malatesta, capping a back-and-forth contest that featured multiple lead changes.
The victory improved Cleveland’s record to 3-1-1-1, good for fourth place in the AHL’s North Division standings.
Luca Del Bel Belluz powered the Monsters’ early offense, netting a power-play goal at 7:55 of the first period off assists from Jordan Dumais and Mikael Pyyhtiä. Del Bel Belluz struck again at 12:12 with another assist from Dumais, giving Cleveland a 2-0 advantage.
