HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A Hawaii surgeon forced to deliver painful news is receiving recognition for her incredible ability to put patients at ease.
Martin Tran works in the radiology department of the Queen’s Medical Center, but found out he was soon to be a patient.
“When they first found this mass in my spleen, it was a year or two ago, my doctors never really thought about anything about it until, like, May of this year,” he said.
Tran said he had a follow-up scan, and his doctors saw the mass getting bigger and sent him to do a biopsy
“The biopsy was put (in) for, like, in July, and finally, I was like, I can’t wait that long for this,” Tran said. “So he, found my doctor’s office, and he’s just like, ‘Ok, go see Linda Wong, who is a surgeon, and see what she has to say.’”
