WINDSOR — Windsor’s tough, swarming defense didn’t give an inch.

Mead’s veteran coach Jason Klatt didn’t mince a word.

And when the two top-ranked teams in Class 3A football got together Friday night at H.J. Dudley Field, the Wizards didn’t leave a doubt.

Windsor dominated from beginning to end, clinching a North 2 League title with a dominant, wire-to-wire 23-0 win against the Mavericks.

“They kicked our butt,” Klatt said. “When you have more physical players that play sound on defense, have great fundamentals on defense, they run to the ball, they tackle, it’s hard to gain yards. And, that’s what we found out tonight.”

The Wizards remained undefeated, improving to 9-0 overall, 4-0 in North 2 play. They’re the top-ranked team in CHSAA’s Selection and Seeding Index.
