Police have arrested two suspects, Abdullah and Prince Ghazi, for the murder of 22-year-old Misbah, an alleged member of the Hashim Baba gang, who was shot dead in Northeast Delhi’s Seelampur on Thursday night. Both suspects are reportedly connected to gangster Chenu Pehelwan, said officers.
According to police, a firing incident was reported at Seelampur police station around 10.40 pm on Thursday. A police team reached the spot near Jama Masjid, Seelampur, where they found Misbah lying injured. He was taken to JPC Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Investigators said the accused fired more than a dozen rounds at the victim before fleeing on a motorcycle.
