Britons are bracing for an Arctic blast in the coming weeks, with temperatures predicted to drop to -1C and snowfall expected in three regions of the country.

After a cooler start to this week, conditions have turned milder and more unsettled due to low pressure systems sweeping in from the Atlantic. This pattern is forecasted to continue into the first week of November before a sudden temperature drop.

Until around November 10, the mercury is set to remain in double digits across many parts of the UK. However, it will then fall into single figures and dip below zero in Scotland by 13 November.
