The Labour Party government has been told to fund free bus passes for one group of people. A Parliamentary website petition calls on the Labour Party government to "f und free bus passes for all carers of disabled people".

It says: "Amend the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme, Transport Act 2000 and relevant legislation, and fund mandatory free bus passes for all carers of disabled people.

"There are disabled people who cannot travel without their carers and we think carers should be able to travel with them for free." It urges: "Some disabled people who rely on carers are currently paying for their carer's bus fare which means that their travel is not wholly free.
