From November 1 2025, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) will roll out three major Aadhaar changes that make the update process faster, easier, and more digital.

1. Full Aadhaar Updates Go Online — No More Long Queues
Starting in November, Aadhaar holders can change their name, address, date of birth, or mobile number entirely online. The system will verify details through linked government databases like PAN or passport, cutting out document uploads and in-person verification.
Only biometric updates — fingerprints, iris scans, or new photos — still require a visit to an Aadhaar Seva Kendra. This move will eliminate physical paperwork and help millions who struggle with long queues or distant centres.
