Blair Tickner and Zakary Foulkes played crucial roles with both bat and ball, leading New Zealand to a tense two-wicket victory over England on Saturday, completing a clean sweep of the three-match ODI series.

The two tailenders forged an unbroken partnership of 30 runs for the ninth wicket, lifting the home side to 226-8 in the 45th over, after England struggled with the bat and were dismissed for 222.

Seamers Tickner and Foulkes claimed six wickets between them, following England’s collapse to 44-5, as the visitors’ top-order faltered once again.
