LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - After a chilly start to the day, sun and clouds will help temperatures warm to near 70 degrees by the afternoon hours. Later this evening, showers will pass through Acadiana with brief, heavy rain at times. For Acadiana Eats Festival, it starts out dry and comfortable but a few showers will be possible by the end of the festival.
Overnight, the rain pushes east by midnight but clouds linger through early Sunday morning. Temperatures will hold in the upper 40s to near 50. Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour tonight!
Heading into next week, sunshine will linger through midweek. Mornings will be in the 40s and afternoons will see highs in the 70s. By the end of the week, warm air and humidity return to Acadiana with afternoon temperatures at 80 or above.
