Ruben Amorim has hailed Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson ahead of Manchester United’s trip to the City Ground – with the England international emerging as a top transfer target at Old Trafford.
Anderson has emerged as one of the country’s brightest midfield talents, enjoying a superb first season at Forest last season following a £35million move from Newcastle United.
He was part of the England Under-21 side that won the European Championships in the summer, making the jump to the senior side where he has played four games under Thomas Tuchel and is now expected to be part of the squad for next summer’s World Cup.
United were interested in signing Carlos Baleba from Brighton late in the summer transfer window and are also admirers of Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton.
