Breaking: Suspended DIG Bhullar sent to 5-day CBI remand

Mohali (Punjab), November 1, 2025: Suspended Punjab DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar, accused in a ₹5 lakh bribery case and for allegedly amassing assets worth crores beyond known income, was remanded to five days of CBI custody by a Chandigarh court on Saturday.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had sought Bhullar’s remand to trace the sources of his disproportionate assets. Despite opposition from Bhullar’s lawyers, the court accepted the agency’s argument that further investigation and evidence collection were necessary.
