It would not be fair to simply suggest Health Minister Christian Dubé or the Coalition Avenir Québec government is intentionally trying to sabotage our health care system or punish doctors just for the sake of it.

What is fair to say, however, is that we’re likely to see major collateral damage to the health network as a result of clumsy and irresponsible leadership from a government that too often recklessly swings a sledgehammer instead of rolling up its sleeves to thoughtfully analyze, consult and listen.

In any democracy an elected government has the right to legislate and bring in reforms. That said, “my way or the highway” should not be confused with strong leadership.
