GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCSC) - A man is facing charges after gunshots were allegedly heard in a Georgetown neighborhood.
20-year-old Malik Williams was arrested and has been charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a stolen firearm.
The Georgetown Police Department says officers were called to reported gunshots in the area of Alex Alford Drive and Winyah Street at about 7:15 p.m. Friday.
At the scene, police say they found a car stopped a short distance away that fit a description given by a witness. That vehicle had four people inside, three of whom ran away.
Officers say there were no reports of anyone hurt or any damage caused by the incident. Williams is being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
The Georgetown Police Department is continuing to investigate.
