A local chaplin has been charged with carrying a firearm after his permit had been revoked.
Justin T. Cohen, 56, of 7200 block of Brent Road, Upper Darby, was charged Thursday night after a traffic stop by township police.
According to the criminal complaint filed by Officer Corey Hansen:
Shortly after 9 p.m., police observed a silver Honda Pilot traveling on Garrett Road with an expired registration.
Police conducted a traffic stop at Clearbrook Avenue and spoke to the operator, who was identified as Cohen.
During the course of the vehicle stop it was determined that Cohen’s Pennsylvania concealed weapons permit was revoked.
When asked, Cohen confirmed there was a firearm in the vehicle’s glove compartment and allowed officers to retrieve it.
