Protesters marched in Tuscumbia on Thursday and Friday, calling for justice for local Deshler High School athlete August Borden , who was severely injured on campus on August 15.
Terrence Wren, with We Are Human in Minnesota, organized both days of protest, starting at the high school on Thursday. A crowd of concerned citizens gathered on the sidewalk near where the incident that left Borden with major facial and head trauma at the hands of another student allegedly occurred.
"If they don't care about August Borden, what makes you think they're going to care about your child?" Wren shouted to the crowd, which included several members of law enforcement who were there ostensibly to maintain order.
On Saturday, more people gathered at the Colbert County Courthouse in Tuscumbia and march
