Lansing State Journal columnist Graham Couch takes a semi-serious trip through Michigan State’s men’s basketball season, predicting each and every game, from Monday’s opener against Colgate through March Madness.
Monday, Nov. 3, in East Lansing: MSU’s season feels like it already began, but Connecticut and Bowling Green were just appetizers. Colgate is the main course. Smart people think Colgate might be the class of the Patriot League this season. After five straight NCAA tournaments, the Raiders fell off a bit last season. But they return five players who averaged double-digit minutes last season and three starters, including junior guard Jalen Cox, who’s one of the best players in that league.
