City Council has been in quite the struggle for the past several years. In 2023, voters elected Troy Krenning and Erin Black, both of whom brought agendas that cost the city dearly in money and reputation. They both resigned when it became apparent that they would face recall election. And that’s the short version. What a circus. It’s time to change course — and the power is in our hands.

In this election, we should value candidates who exhibit curiosity and reasonableness. Issues like homelessness, development, and the budget are complicated and cannot be improved without high levels of collaboration and factual discussion.
