The nine-day Silver Jubilee celebration commemorating Uttarakhand’s 25 years of statehood was inaugurated at Nainital Dugdh Utpadak Sahakari Sangh Limited (NDUSS) office here on Saturday. Among the dignitaries present at the inaugural ceremony were the director of Dairy Development, Ashok Kumar Joshi, the deputy director Sanjay Upadhyay, NDUSS president Mukesh Bora and former MLA Naveen Dumka. On the first day, approximately 500 women participated in a seminar and cultural programme organised for female dairy farmers. More than 370 women underwent check-ups at a health camp organised by Sanjivani Hospital, Haldwani. Besides, the children of Himalayan Public School made an educational tour of the dairy.
