Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday tore into the Congress over the Naxal and Maoist terrorism issue in Chhattisgarh and said that the people who show off the Constitution are shedding crocodile tears in the name of social justice. The Prime Minister added that the Congress party has done the people of Chhattisgarh an injustice for decades, for their political gains.

Striking an emotional note with the people of Chhattisgarh, he said, “Today, Chhattisgarh is being freed from Naxal and Maoist terror. What you had to bear for the last 50-55 years is painful. Areas of Chhattisgarh remained deprived of roads, schools and hospitals. There used to be bomb blasts.”
