They started this season not on the best foot, as they only combined for 16 carries in the first game loss to Miami.

Both received less carries than quarterback CJ Carr, which amounted to just a combined 78 yards between them and no scores. Instead, the Irish opted for bubble screens to their receivers.

After that, the Irish quickly changed their approach, opting for a more run heavy attack. Since then, they’ve given them way more carries and seen positive results.

Love now has 124 carries on the season for 758 yards. That’s 6.1 yards per carry average

He also has nine rushing scores, and he’s now projected as a first round NFL draft pick.
