Acting tough after the murder of Jan Suraaj Party (JSP) worker Dular Chand Yadav and the ensuing unrest in Bihar's Mokama Assembly constituency on Thursday, the Election Commission transferred three top officials with immediate effect on Saturday. Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Chandan Kumar, SDPO Rakesh Kumar, and SDPO Abhishek Singh bore the brunt of the poll panel's action.
To ensure fair and impartial administration, the poll panel ordered that SDO Chandan Kumar would be replaced by 2022-batch IAS officer Ashish Kumar.
Similarly, SDPO Rakesh Kumar would be replaced by Anand Kumar Singh, and SDPO Abhishek Singh would be succeeded by Ayush Srivastava.
