A 35-year-old man was fatally shot early Saturday in East Toledo.

At about 2:42 a.m., police responded to a report of a person shot in the 2000 block of Starr Avenue, according to the Toledo Police Department.

Devonta Miller, 35, was found suffering at least one gunshot wound. He was treated on the scene and transported to Mercy Health St. Charles Hospital, where he later died, police said.

Mr. Miller was allegedly in a relationship with Andreania Pruitt, 32, who was charged with murder and felonious assault, the department said.

A second victim, who has not been identified, was also found suffering at least one gunshot and was transported to ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He is expected to survive his injuries. The two victims were fighting prior to being shot, police said.
