New York State Agriculture Commissioner Richard A. Ball today alerted consumers that “Tara Food Golden Raisins” distributed by Tara Food Inc., located in the Bronx and sold in the New York City metropolitan area, are being removed from sale due to undeclared sulfites.
People who have severe sensitivity to sulfites may run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume this product, according to the alert.
No illnesses have been reported to the department in connection with this product.
Tara Food Golden Raisins sold in 14-ounce clear packages with UPC Code 8247931229 and a “best before” date of June 30, 2026, are subject to this removal.
