MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A 44-year-old Palatka man was ejected and killed Friday when his Jeep overturned on State Road 19 in Marion County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 3:50 p.m. south of County Road 314.

Troopers said the man was traveling south in a yellow Jeep Wrangler when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned. The man was ejected from the Jeep and later pronounced dead at Ocala Regional Medical Center.

According to a crash report, the man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck.

No other information was released, including the man’s name.
