The DC Universe has finished its run for 2025, following the succesful Superman movie with David Corenswet, and the conclusion to Peacemaker season 2. With several upcoming DCU movies in 2026, there is also one of the most highly anticipated series for James Gunn's franchise that is coming up.

The Green Lanterns Podcast recently uncovered in one of The Hollywood Reporter's newsletters from October that the next release for the DCU would be the Supergirl movie rather than HBO's Lanterns TV show. The podcast reached out to the trade for clarification if this was meant to imply that the series would come out after the film.
