PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The first weekend of November is off to a wet start as a weather system continues to push in off the Pacific Coast.

Rainfall amounts will approach 1" in the valley and up to 2" along the coast and in the Coast Range on Saturday. This will be a fairly warm system, so snow will stay above the Cascade mountain tops this weekend.

Daytime highs will cool into the upper 50s and lower 60s on Saturday as rain continues to fall moderately at times. The rain will begin to back off in the afternoon along the coast, then spread into the valley. If you have evening plans tonight, you should get some dry time.

Sunday is looking much better, with a few lingering showers in the morning and then plenty of afternoon clearing.
