ALBERT LEA, Minn. - An overnight fire has seriously damaged an Albert Lea home.
At 3:40 am Saturday, Albert Lea Fire Rescue was called to the 1000 block of W. Clark Street. Crews say they arrived at the scene to see flames rolling out of all openings on the front of the home. Firefighters went to work extinguishing the flames and searched for anyone inside the home.
Albert Lea Fire Rescue says the occupants of the home were later found outside and relocated to a hotel by the Salvation Army.
The fire caused about $50,000 damage to the home and its contents. No cause has been determined.
The Albert Lea Police Department, Freeborn County Sheriff's Office and Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service assisted Fire Rescue on the scene.
