Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after a driver was killed in an early Saturday morning crash on I-4 in Orange County.
According to FHP, a 2013 Hyundai Elantra was traveling eastbound on I-4 approaching World Center Drive when the driver lost control of the vehicle and ran off the roadway to the left onto the median just after 3 a.m. The car struck a guardrail before reentering the roadway in the direct path of a 2015 Kia Sedona. As a result, the Kia struck the Hyundai.
The Hyundai's driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Kia's driver was transported to Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital with minor injuries.
Troopers are still investigating what led up to the crash.
