CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A woman was killed in a shooting in northwest Charlotte early Saturday morning, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Police said the shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. on Old Plank Road.

When officers arrived, they found a woman with a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital, where she died.
