Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Mahagathbandhan’s chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday hit back at the BJP’s “Jungle Raj” barbs, taking a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over a firing incident in Bihar’s Rohtas district.
He questioned whether such incidents reflected the “Prime Minister-certified good governance” often claimed by the ruling alliance.
Yadav’s remarks were aimed at countering the BJP leaders’ repeated use of the term “Jungle Raj” to describe the RJD’s earlier tenure, as political exchanges between the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the opposition Mahagathbandhan intensified ahead of polling for the Assembly elections.
