MADISON, Wis. -- Madison Starbucks baristas are set to hold a rally downtown on Saturday afternoon.
According to a press release, baristas are rallying for a fair contract that includes improved staffing, hours, take-home pay, and on-the-job protections, as well as to protest the company's labor practices.
The upcoming actions are part of a national movement of 70 pickets in 60 cities, where baristas could be prepared to strike if a union contract does not pass.
The rally is set to begin at 3 p.m. at 661 State Street.
