OVERTON, Texas (KLTV) - A Smith County jury has sentenced an Overton man to life in prison for multiple instances of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Corydario Grant was accused and convicted of committing the aggravated sexual assaults of a little girl in Bossier City, Tyler, and Overton.

In February 2024 the FBI made Overton Police Chief Bryan Pool aware of the alleged assaults. After reviewing evidence submitted to OPD, a warrant for the arrest of Corydario Grant was obtained in March 2024 and Grant was taken into custody.

An approximate 10 month long joint investigation into the crime ensued, which involved the Overton Police Department, the Tyler Police Department, and the Smith County District Attorney’s Office.
