Pell City High School has dismissed a subsitute teacher who was accused of offering a vape to students on Friday.

Superintendent Justin Burns issued a statement on social media saying that the person was immediately removed from campus and a police report was filed.

The school notified parents of the students who were involved.

"Pell City Schools holds the safety and well-being of our students as our highest priority." "said Burns' statement. "We have zero tolerance for behavior that compromises that trust, and we are taking every appropriate step to ensure this situation is handled properly."

The school did not release the subsitute teacher's name. No information about possible charges was available.
