MOBILE COUNTY, Ala (WKRG) – A man is injured following an incident where his vehicle collided with a train in Satsuma late Friday night, according to a Satsuma Fire Department spokesperson.
Satsuma Fire Chief Michael Caldwell says the incident happened last night on Jackson Road in Satsuma near Old Highway 43, across the street from Arby's-Pilot gas station. He says a man was injured in the crash and was the only person inside the vehicle.
Caldwell said, “our guys went, got the victim out, and put him in the ambulance.”
According to Caldwell, “the last that I knew he was transported to USA (hospital) and he was still alive. He was in surgery.”
Fire officials don’t know the victim’s identity or when the crash happened.
The Satsuma Police Department is investigating the incident.
