LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Two Laredo families have been left without a home after a fire destroyed their houses on Friday, October 31.
According to the Laredo Fire Department, the blaze started around 6 p.m. in the 2200 block of East Stewart Street.
Officials say the fire began in the back of one home and quickly spread to an apartment complex behind it.
A family of five living in the home was treated for smoke inhalation.
Seven people in the apartment complex also lost their home.
Reportedly, no one was taken to the hospital and no injuries were reported.
The American Red Cross will be helping both families, as both homes are a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
